if i found out who did it, if it was indeed vandalism i would end up in jail for murder...

I would think REALLY hard about who you might have pissed off? Ex girlfriend? Ricer? Anyone at all come to mind? Even if it was several months ago.
I know shit happens and this could have been from an electrical fire or such, but damn man, your car looks charred to the bone. That to me would suspect arson hands down.

no angry ex's (for once in my life) no real beef with anyone..as far as a ricer tho, ive ran a bunch so i cant really pinpoint any specific instance..

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
Could it be caused by that electrical short with the radio or power mirror issue I have seen posted before? There was a discussion at Spazapalooza about some problem with the wiring harness behind the center console causing a short. I am sure someone else will give more detailed info about this.

Did you have a locking gas cap on it?(just curious) Years ago(around 1990) I had a '84 HO Z/28 that was my baby-had a electrical fire- in 5 minutes the entire car was in flames. I could only stand there and watch as it burned. I was so sick.
Sorry this happened man. I know it is bad- but one day- you will have another.

Black 2002 Formula M6- SOLD on 11/21/2009
Examine the tire that was flat
Did you get the flat as you were driving to the office or did you wallk out and find it flat? From reading what happened I get the feeling someone had it in for you and first either let the air out of your tire or slashed it. Then watched from somewhere and once you left with your friend taking the tire with you the person then went one step further and ignited your car on fire.
If I was you I would examine the flat tire that you took with you to find out exactly what made it go flat...I have a strange feeling that the tire you have in your possession holds a clue or two.

Screws are common, which could be either by coincidence, or malicious. Check the For Sale threads. Someone posted a Firehawk. Just so ya know.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!
I just had a fellow LS1 member make a generous donation to me towards my car fund via paypal. They wished to remain anonymous, but I would like to extend my thanks a million times over to them for their "pay it forward" philosophy.
When I posted that last part about donations on my original thread I did it from light humor, so the notion itself means more than any amount, so thank you once again.
