This market also includes a lot of equipment that is cosmetic; i.e. that changes the appearance of the vehicle. Many self described "tuners" spend more money on spoilers, ground effects, neon packages, loud stereos, large rims with low profile tires and other style/image products than they do on performance enhancing modifications. Large stickers - often of kanji - and bright graphics are typically used. This common practice of focusing on appearance instead of performance has made the term "tuner" a pejorative in some circles, although it ought not be used in that manner; a properly tuned sport compact can be a very effective race car.

Bad list
What a lousy list, loaded with Japanese cars that cost Americans so much money and jobs every year. This is an LS1 site and anything foreign reeks unless it is one of our LS1's from Canada. I'm not going to vote and I hope your poll gets little attention.

I voted 300zxTT because I believe it is a little more well rounded than the supra, but I'd take eaither one, I have a hard on for old 280s and such

Anyone ever hear of a Stillen Z. In 94 I was working at a cadilac nissan dealer the owner was a super car fan he owned a few ferrari's and cars like that. But in the nissan show room they had a stllen z that was a heavily modified 300z tt that was rated at 450hp looked a little ricey with the body kit but it was suposedly all fuctioal and wind tunnel designed lots of suspension stuff done aws huge wheels and giant brakes all around never got to drive it and can only imagine what it was like after driving the reguler 300z tt with aws.Never seen another one since.

No RWD and no V8 = kids toy. However, I could see myself having fun with a Supra or 300tt. They have good looks, RWD and outstanding performance.

Do the 1988-92 Z24 Cavaliers count? They're a tuner but not an import.
I've been lookin at them for a daily driver now for a while and they're actually kinda nice.
If they don't count, go with:
1. Supra
2. 3000GT
3. RX7
4. 350Z

I thought there would be nicer cars listed like a skyline or NSX.
