Jus ribbin' ya.. I think the route you're taking is the best anywho.. Getting everything ready for more HP before you add it seems very well thought out to me..

And cars that don't want to break.

    And to clarify....
Spinning your tires will SAVE your 10 bolt.
Different angles on the housing (like donuts and hard launches) are what kill it.

So you don't have 4.11s? I was curious how they are w m6 I drive the highway everyday and I don't want it to be awful I wish I could drive someones car with the gears Haha but on cl I found brand new 4.11s w install kit and a b&m shifted all for 150 so I was thinking about getting them but last thing I want to do is spend money on something I hate

Yes I have 4.11 gears. I hardly use 6th still, even on highways, which my car rarely sees. At 70MPH, I'm at about 1900 RPM if I remember right.

Thats not too bad. Is that worth it for motive gears brand new and that shifter??

1.44 - 60' on a stock 3.42 10 bolt behind a stalled auto. 3600# raceweight. I'm pushing my luck but don't really care since it's not my DD. I keep a spare 10 bolt on hand. The current rear has been in the car since '08.

I'm making some changes to remove weight off the front of the car. Next time out I'm hoping for a 1.3x.

    Gateway

It's been too hot. I prefer not sweating my balls off. My garage has a/c so it's not too bad wrenching during this heat wave.
