230 (AWD) WHP is nothing to scoff at.

What would the F-Body WHP be rated at if it was AWD?

Listen, personally I would never buy a VR4, and I dont really like them at all...
    but...

They can be made faster, and I've seen very fast ones at the drag strip.
AWD cars are quick out of the hole... an obvious advantage on the street.

    Here are some dyno charts:

230WHP is pathetic for a vehicle thats rated at 320HP at the crank. Thats a huge loss, and I don't consider a 3800lb vehicle with 230WHP "fast" at all. More like "dog", if anything.

Bro, I know they can be "made fast". Any car can with enough time and money. But is it worth it to make a pig-heavy Mitsubitchi fast, only to have it fall apart on you?? Hell no, and those cars are complete garbage, so thats what ends up happening. Like I said - my friend had one, tried to do mods, and it was all worthless in the end because you can't make a shitty car anything other than a shitty car.

My biggest complaint about the VR4...

there is no room to fit a wrench anyplace in the engine compartment!
I wouldnt want to work on one.

Anyway, IMHO if any car can be "tuned" into a low 12 second car...
    is cool in my book.

I just wouldnt do it with that car.

You'll just have to remain in limbo on that one.

    01 SS,TT, SLP, M6

I have a 01 SS with SLP intake and Exhaust + Ls6 maf thats it and my buddys 95 Stealth RT/TT pulls from my car like its parked on the Fwy and No chance from a dig ALL WHEEL DRIVE, then again he is one of the top VR4/Stealth tunners on the west coast. "If VR4 is stock and SS is healthy, pretty much even from 60 to 120 where VR4's falls off" Drivers Race (my buddy Eric Roehm) Stock for stock 91 -93 VR4 vs. SS you would have more advantage. Dont get me wrong i love my SS and so does Eric! But your biggest variance is in the driver. PM me with year what he has done to it and Eric will tell you what you chances are. Lets put it this way there are a few 9 sec 140mph VR4's out by you East Coast. Bottom line is potentially, SS could be faster for less money, its all about who sets them up. "If it looks like sh!^ then go from a dig and it will probably break" (Eric )

I'm not a stoopid newb sir. I was on this forum a long time before you were. I just had to re-register since it was a long time before I was active. Let's just hope I don't run into your T/A on the street while I'm in my Honda. I'll just have to blow your doors off.
