Beaver weekend. Brought the kayaks down in the truck and hope to head to the Susquehanna today at some point. Partly cloudy and 71 degrees so should be a perfect day.

Was going to head to the track yesterday for a look see but they were having their annual Ford FE event. Not a Ford guy and the admission price is always higher for the events, so we decided to pass.

Our area has a bounty on Jim Cantor. As long as he stays away the Hurricane shouldn't be that bad in our area.

So yeah, last week was fun...
Slow moving CAT2 Hurricanes suck. Sally acted like a drunk bitch trying to figure out what she wanted to eat, then just pukes and shits all over my area.
Lost power for 4 1/2 days, luckily my generator was able to power the freezers and refrigerators as well as fans for that time period.
I got real lucky in that 1/2 of my fence was taken out and and only lost 1 shingle. My neighbors were not so lucky. One house 3 down form me that just finished remodeling and had it up for sale had a huge tree land on the roof and took out a corner.
We think we had a tornado come real close to our neighborhood because of the damage. There were trees twisted in the power/phone lines.
We had to cut ourselves out of our neighborhood.
My niece who was much closer to the eye did well but her neighbors too got seriously fisted. A tornado passed by within a few hundred feet of her house.
And of course there are shitheads going around stealing stuff. I hope they get dropped and left as debris.
The line men/women that came in have busted their asses off. We were told it could be 4-6 weeks before power returns so 4 days is beyond acceptable.
Gulf Shores which is a major vacation spot is FUBAR and it will take that long for them to get power as well as anything else.

You some ppl saying the ppl on the shore were dumb not to evac but when the storm wonders around like Tim in a fridge looking for food it's hard to know where to evac too. If you prematurely evac the wrong direction you put yourself into the storms path.
