For a beginning bolt on car ( which this car is) there is no need for a 90 or 102mm intake. An LS6 and ported TB will work fine and cost less than half of a fast set up.

i agree to a point.....unless hes doing cam OR heads/cam i see no need for a bigger TB, the ls6 with a P&P (stock) TB should be just fine

    question

what would be the performance difference between the bbk intake manifold with a 80mm tb to a FAST 102mm intake manifold with a FAST tb

your comparing apples to oranges hahaha......IMHO to run a 102 FAST you need to build a engine for it really haha......there people using the ls6 intake making 500/600 hp and theres TONs using the fast 92 making almost 1000hp

IMHO their are only 2 good intake manifolds out there. The FAST and the LS6. The BBK is aluminum and heat sinks more then the plastic intakes.

Werd. Those are the two main intakes ppl use on their cars. Dont know a lot of ppl using the BBK or Weilden or w/e. But yes, LS6 intake is good for a h/c set up but if you want more cubes, look into the FAST.

most of it is going to be determined by what you have done to the car. Putting a 102mm intake on a bolt on car is much much different than putting one on a heads/cam car. Fast is overpriced IMO, the BBK is metal which is extra heat/weight and not as good a performer as the FAST. The LS6 on the other hand is readily available used for just over $300, composite, and has shown to support plenty of HP. To me when you look at the complete package the LS6 gets my vote. The price is probably the biggest plus to it.....you can take that money saved and put it elsewhere on the car.

post the TB as much as you can IMO.....if your doing intake/TB/full exhaust then yes i would get a frost tune

    Bolt ons:

Lid, LTs, Exhaust, cut-out, P&P TB, smooth bellows, intake manifold, underdrive pulley, cold air intake, supercharger, turbo, and NOS. Yes, FI is a bolt-on. Not your "typical" bolt-on, but non-the-less it is.

Didn't mention MAF b/c you should leave it alone...

Your gonna need the steam tubes that run under the LS6 manifold when you get ready to install one.
