I raced an SRT8 Charger at work at 3 am July 4th (FINALLY!). Launched at 3200 insteadof my intended 1600 and blew my tires away (whoops!) but still only lost by 2.5 car lengths according to all of my coworkers at the finish line. Not to shabby considering, but I'm looking for a rematch asap!

People tell me to launch at 1700, unless your tires are bad learn to control a 2800-3200rpm launch.

I was just being dumb, these tires are ten times better than my last set but my tires were spinning before I even let off the brake; I was so geeked to finally be racing again that I wasn't even paying attention. BTW I have a 700R4 auto, not the T-56. And before anybody corrects me, GM trucks were the only vehicles in 1993 that had a 4L60, the cars still had a non-electronically controlled wide-ratio 4-speed overdrive automatic (TH700R4).

Once i register the car up north this week i can do whatever i want lol no emissions, im gonna do a cam swap i have almost everything, my friend is gonna port and polish my heads, then new rear end, i already have a 425hp clutch, new intake manifold and some sticky tires, with straight pipes as stated before im hopeing to do all this by next summer while the car is in storage in my garage. I would do it sooner but my daughter will be arriving in november and im saving money for her.
