The slave is located inside the bell housing, most likely it has blown out and need to be replaced, hence the no fluid. To replace it you need to drop the trans, and while your are at it, might as well do the clutch and anything else that might need looking after while you are in there.

If the clutch fluid was low or gone, you def have a hydraulics problem. Time for a new slave cylinder or master cylinder, or maybe both, then it will need bled, your clutch may be ok, just have to check it out when you drop the tranny. Labor wise, you would save if you did them all at the same time.
If it were me, I would do a new master, slave cylinder, with the drill mod, and a new clutch with a alum. flywheel. And a new pilot bearing, rear main seal, tranny mount, and tranny fluid change. Also have the tranny seals and u joints checked when the tranny is out. But thats just me.

Bleeding is simple with a 30 dollar Mity Vac. 15 second job.
