Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
For me it is simple.
I enjoy driving the M6 too much to get rid of it.
If I drag raced any more than the 3-4 times a year I do now, I would have a built high stalled A4.

6-speeds put more AVERAGE hp to the ground due to gear-ratios. During the 13 seconds they are going down the track they put way more down than their peak 10whp advantage. They only drop to about 5K on shifts unlike the 4L60E which drops lower, effectively lessening the hp it puts down ON TOP of more parasitic loss until it revs back up. More than just peak numbers are at play when you see a stock M6 trap 107 and a stock A4 trap 104. That is a 30whp difference...it comes b/c the AVERAGE HP DURING THE RUN, not the peak 10whp the auto gave up. AREA UNDER THE CURVE.

PS. A bone stock M6 F-body car has run 12's. A bone stock auto never has.

Your 2.0 60' is really pretty good. I doubt you spun much. I think that to hit 12's will take power mods, not traction mods (although those are always good). .1 in the 60' is .2 in the 1/4 so to hit a 12.99 from 13.3 you would have to cut a 1.849 60' all things being =. I don't see that happening without some power mods or gears or a stall. A LM exhaust probably wont QUITE get you there, LM+Lid and free mods might though!!!

60 and 330 are foot markers as you progress down the track.
60' is what most people concentrate on when trying to dial in a combination. 2.00 seconds or around there is pretty typical of most street cars on stock tires. My 02 SS convertable with an auto ran back to back 2.17 and 2.18 times consistently. No wheel spin at all, it was rather easy to drive. The lack of gear and converter in mine (it's stock) is what dictated that. You have a great running car. Keep tinkering with it. Larry.
