Mileage on the motor??
Motor mounts...are a pain in the ass to replace. Nice to have though. Probably not needed at this point in your mod list.
If you have a strut tower brace, remove it before finishing the mount install. I cracked an intake with my Prothane mounts since they lift the motor just a touch.

i'll turn over 65k this week, it's just that i've heard the headers will bang the floorboard sometimes w/o motor mounts and while i have access to all the tools i want i figured i'd do it.
what springs and rods should i get with it... should i get them off texas speed?
Stock length rods right?
Do i need to get the basic camshaft bolt and gasket kit with it on the site?Last edited by chevyss1234; 07-07-2008 at 06:58 PM.

Always nice to have new bolts. Crank bolt is 100% needed.

Blue- 2002 Z28 Camaro M6
Basically all that I have done to the car are lid, long tubes (kooks), true dual exhaust, and a tune. I still even have a few free mods that need to be done (tearing out the AIR pump today). It is a solid DD cam as long as you get a good tune. You could even get a tamer cam then mine since I have the 112 lsa.
I like the cams from Vengeance, but the TSP 228R is a solid cam as is there 224 if you want something milder. I just prefered to have a little more on my exhaust side of the cam instead of running a symmetrical cam like the 228.
For springs I am using the Patriot Dual Golds. Good cheap spring with all the little bits you need and they are a steal about 255, and I feel a little better running a dual spring in my DD.
Pushrods are a debate, I run the stockers, but I know many people recommend to get hardened.

I would see if you can back out of the COMP's.
They have had issues with them breaking over the last 2 years.
Some will say it was a bad batch, some will still use them. Start failing at the rate they did...and I refuse to use them.
