You won't get flaming from stanger on this. Those cars are super fun with a sr20det and supporting bolt ons. You can do it for cheap if you are in the know about the car. Just make the car look clean, get that motor and bolt ons. They are FAST lil buggers when you do them right. My friend had one and it ran right up to 120 like it was a walk in the park. 14 lbs of boost if i remember right. On the stock turbo it dynoe'd 270 horses, and with an upgraded turbo 330. Car was a lot of fun. I've considered getting one at some point.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
He ran it at the track 1 time. They told him he couldn't run that fast without the proper safety equipment. The engine/tranny is out of an 01 T/A and has a 3K stall and headers. After being dynotuned it ran 11.3x on BFG DR's. Max it's allowed to go is 11.50 or slower.

To the op would you be against putting a vg30dett, or a vq35de in it? Iv'e seen those vg30de's put some good power down with just internal work.

Yea I had the VG30DETT in my 300ZX
I just want to build up an SR motor because I havent yet.
Plus I already ordered one.
Its a red time and with the mile conversion it only came up to 54,XXX miles on it.
I have injectors, intercooler, headgasket, down pipe, and new turbo ready for it plus a tune

got a buddy with a 240 and we did the silvia front end swap in about 4 hours. Made the car look A LOT better. He was gonna build an sr20 but i convinced him to put an ls1 in it.. my ls1 haha. After researching it, he said the ls1 swap can be done for almost the same price if not cheaper than the sr20 swap. Once i get enough for my 408 hes gonna buy my engine off me for like $1200

Damn thats really cheap.
I got the motor for under a grand, and ima do the swap myself so idk how thats equal to the price of an ls1 plus you would need to get a t-56 or 4l60e depending on what you wanted. the trannys for the nissans are a lot cheaper and fits easier. I know LS1s arent hard to put in either but still much cheaper and easier to stick with an SR plus I dont want to mix the motors
