that was my thoughts Eugeino but i wasnt sure about it....i just know when they recommend an 11 inch wheel and say the range is 10.5 to 13 ( ranges tirerack shows for that size among the diff brands they sell) it cant be properly mounted on a wheel 1.5 inches SMALLER than the minium

tonyj, i will be more than happy to take pics and post them up for you and everyone to see...
EugenioSS, i do understand and know where you are coming from in regards to 315's fitting on a 9" rim safely. this is my second go around with these tires at this size on the same sized rims and i will gladly keep everyone informed if i have any issues, bead leaks, problems, etc., i will let people know. i put almost 13k on those Nittos before i replaced them with Federal 595SS tires (those have 3-4k on them since last Aug)...
i am not trying to steer anyone towards or away from the route i have taken by any means. i just know what has worked for me and wanted to share.

yes, they fit well. you can even place you hand on the backside (inside) of the tire and inner fender and there is nothing that even comes close to touching/rubbing or contact of anykind fromthe body/suspesion and the tire/wheel. they do not bulge like another member had asked. i tried to show that by the angle of the pics i took.
like i mentioned above, i will keep everyone posted from time to time about the wear, any issues/problems, etc...

nittos run narrow, therefore you can safely get a wider -number- tire on a smaller rim safely, cause they aren't actually as wide as other 315s. nitto 295 = regular 275

10.5 inches is the recommended rim width for tires 295 and up last time I checked. You might have wear issues with that setup.

UPDATE: i have put almost 900 miles on the tires and no issues. both still hold 32psi in each tire respectively and i have driven to Houston and back in the same day with no worries (bout 500 miles round trip)...

o1raptorTA just sold me these same tires. very classy looking SS! let us know how they hook when you track it. how are they hooking from a roll?
mine will definetly not look this good because of the shitty wheels i have on the rear. eagles. yeah you heard it, eagles! ew.

from a roll, i just shoot forward, no spinning, no nothing, but forward movement. the grip is amazing. shifting from 1st to 2nd makes me seem to 'jump' forward down the road. i love highway on ramps...lol
