Negative on this. The mirrors were black on all 98-99's. Color matched to car in 2000-02. But the sail/panel I have seen some painted and almost ALL black.

I saw red non 35th ss the other day that had a body color sail, def looks different. For some reason I like when T/A owners paint theirs black.

From what I have read all sail panels were black except the ones on the 35thLE's.

They were the only ones to get matched sails from the factory. And one of them actually got shipped with a black sail. The owner has a letter from SLP and GM stating it is a 1 of 1 car aka a mistake.

For Z-28s and SSs (and I assume Formulas and T/As) to have a body-colored sail the original owner would have to order T-tops and the painted sails. I believe anybody could do it, but I don't know what year it became available. Definitely pre-LS1.

All Z28 and SS hardtop cars had a black roof. No option for paint.

Except for badging there's no way to tell @ a glance parked composite Camaro from anyother composite Camaro. Painted sails could be ordered.. Composite 3800II, ss and z28 all have the same body. Almost anything offered on the ls1 cars was offered on the 3800II cars.. Even some SS camaros had a single exhaust stock. Prior to the composite cars the Camaro 3.4, 3800 cars could have came with or without body colored sails aswell..

The 98 SS was the only year that had the TOTL exhaust. 99-02 all had the dual.

What do you mean by TOTL exhaust? My 98 has dual exhaust from the factory and the sail and mirrors are the same color as the car. No the car is not black , it is Blue.
