Last week I awoke an old man who was restrained. I was there to do an abdominal series on him. I called out his last time numerous times then proceed to tap his shoulder. ...Nothing! When I went to raise the bed (assuming he was unresponsive) he woke with the fear of god in his eyes. I have never seen someone look so scared, he stared at me and said...and I qoute "Back off you young cocksucker!"

This guy was like 91 y/o IIRC. I couldnt kept a straight face and had to step outta the room

I was helping put an NG tube in a guy on a whole bunch of diazepam, he was very incoherent, almost unconcious. he was like 70, bloody sputum from his very bad pnuemonia. anyway, put one in, gets clogged immediately, so we pull it, turns out it scraped blood clots on the way down. put in the second, he responds a little this time and coughs some. we get it in, turn away to get tape, and he starts coughing pretty hard, turn back, and the tube was sticking out of his mouth. it had gotten looped.

so we pulled it and put in a third, sucked so bad.

hahaha best one when the dumb ass Nurses don't even know how far the NG tube has to go.

NG tube placed and Xray ordered.

Result, NG tube is in place in the stomach.

Dumb nurse, ohh its too far in, we should pull it up a bit.

I am like WTF?
