noooo... the cobalt ss comes in 2 forms. n.a. 2.2 liter and supercharged (idk the displacement of the s.c. one)
but obviously the sc one is faster.

You can't do that in a cobalt, granted that camaro is modded, but you can still play like that with a stocker...

all of you are funny, and cant read well. he has a COBALT, not a Cobalt SS...

all of you assume he's got a Colbalt SS and ramble off Coblat SS performance, when he in fact has the even SLOWER Cobalt model. then you all start the great debate between the difference, if an between an Camaro SS and a Z28. who cares, thats not his question.

    his question is as follows:
how much of an increase in performance am i going to see with even a stock ss?! as in a Camaro SS not a Colbat SS...

    there's only one answer:

A MAJOR DIFFERENCE IN THE INCREASE OF PERFORMANCE...

but im sure all you smart cookies got it!

its a nice car for a dd. i like my moms and hers came with a really nice stereo. its just slow and fwd is so gay. plus idk how to turn traction control off on it which makes it gayer...

i almost bought a brand new one instead of my camaro, but decided id rather have a crappy fbody than a nice fwd 4banger

I don't know the exact times, but you're looking at mid to low 13's in the 1/4, and 0-60 in about 5 seconds with the SS.

So yeah, I think the Camaro will be a little faster.
with my mods I did a 0-60 of 4.63 at the track with my gtech pro ss. I was spinning win I did that too

The Camaro will have over twice the performance of the Cobalt. You'll be getting about an 180 HP gain at the wheels! You'd be going form a 25 pounds per horse power value to a 11 pounds per horse power value (not exact but close). That should get you thinking and burning rubber! Good luck in selling your Cobalt and getting into a fun car.

Just find the best deal you can on a F-body with an LS1.
Price and Miles are the only real deciding factors for an LS1 Car.
(besides for body style preference, color, condition)

Find the cheapest one with the lowest miles, drive it, get it if its the right car, then spend the money you saved by getting a cheaper one, and modify it to run 11's.

There will be a HUGE difference although a Mustang GT is MUCH faster than a Cobalt as well. I don't know what year you drove but the new ones are mid to high 13 second cars and the previous years 99 and up are 14 second flat cars. Easily 2 seconds quicker in the quarter than your Cobalt.
