I have a friend with a lingerfelter vette just he head, cam, and some other mods one of the minor packages not the supercharge one and he can beat the ZR1 that comes out and his car was a good amount less with the package he has than the ZR1 costs. There is also a guy with a modded 09 GT500 that runs pretty close to them and it's faster than the Z06's and he only has a few mods done to it.

I would like to have a new 5.0GT without having to sell my fbody of couse but honestly if I could only afford a V6 I probably would get a Genesis Track model. I don't think they should have even made a new V6 Challenger or Camaro just make more V8 models and make them with just cloth seats and a few less frilly options and sell the V8's a few thousand cheaper so people aren't stuck settling for a V6. Like the old days if you didn't wan't a V6 firbird and couldn't afford the Trans Am there was the Formula in the middle, power that you clould get without options that you couldn't affod like leather and ttops and still have a great ride. Ford did that I had a 96 GTS which was a GT with 16" wheels v6 interior and crank windows but it had the same motor and transmission the high price fully loaded Gt with the leather power seats on 500 watt radio. I added my own system cheaper and sounded better, didn't need keyless entry fob I added and alarm/ remote start and cost $50 for 2 power door lock motor. The price of the Camaro SS is way to much for me to spend on it O rather have a clean low mileage used C6 vette.

Oh actually forgot to mention next to my 98TA I have a 93 Mustang LX 5.0 vert and it was cheap and fun and when I wanna go to the track or out racing I take the TA on cool nights I'll take the 5.0 it has a few bolt ons but won't come close to my TA but still fun and gets more stares that my TA since it's a clean looking car just need some interior work. So I am glad to see ford bring the 5.0 back and dump the 4.6.
