i'm just amazed that MT would print such a blatant typo as saying teh new Camaro will be coming out later this year. bet they'll get a lot of emails and letters on that one.

I'm used to being let down by GM. Anyone remember before the latest body style Silverado SS came out? It was supposed RWD, regular cab, and for around $23,000. Instead we got an overwieght AWD extended cab. Thank you GM.

concept cars = ridiculously huge wheels
reality = maybe 19s but more likely 18s or even 17s.

I'd be happy if they just slapped camaro body work on GTO's chassis and relocated tank underneath - PERFECT.

Right now I'm very dissapointed in GM, they're soooo slow in reacting to the market, they haven't made a good move in years, besides the new Vette, which I can't afford.
I gotta go +1. Can't wait to see a Challenger up close and read the reviews and specs. Don't get me wrong, I want the Camaro concept. I can see GM making bad call after bad call on the way to production tho. Also see dealers gouging the consumer too.

I read in Popular Hotrodding or some other magazine of the sort that there wasnt gonna be an LSx motor. that their gonna put a 6.1 403 hp Escalade motor in it. But it did say that i was a go for '06.

Where did it say that it's a 'go' for '06? Just curious. I'd like to see/read that.

i think what they're trying to say is that they are giving it the "go" for prolly an '08 or more realistically an '09 release. Some say even 2010.

What all is supposed to be based on the Zeta platform? One would think the GTO and Camaro would share engines. Obviously the v6 option would be different. And even that needs to have some grunt. At least the new 3.9 would be nice.

True! Chevy has been pissing me off the passed few years. The Camaro that ar coming out have a sweet backend but some one needs to slap the shit out of the designers because the front looks crapy. And screw trying to stay in cirtain wight class to compete. I like to beat the hell out of Mustangs. The only thing made right in the past few years is the solsctice. which in the end they didn't produce half the amount they should have. The best car GM has is probably the pontiac Witchcraft. Which is a solctice with an LS2 in it, Sounds nice right. Think about it. A car that weighs a bit more than a Miata with an LS2. But geuss what. They will not sell it. Who the Flip is runing GM?!

I'm still waiting for buick to come out with another muscle car to kick everyone's ass again. I don't see how a division that built the GSX of the 70's and the GNX of the 80's hasn't had a car with balls since then. I'm not talking a lacrosse with a 300hp v8 either. I'm talking a RWD car with a LS7 in the motherfucker that no one outside of real car people know about. I'm talking another car that makes people in car magazines say that buick has no right to make a car that is faster than the corvette like they did in the 80's.
