There's a guy around here that's supposed to be really good, but pricey. I have to call him and see how much he wants. I might go over to Oshkosh. I was told by Friday's Off Road Racing there's a place there that's good.

The guy is supposed to be sending me an email today with pictures of the car and a list of what he has done to it. When I get it I may post it to get some opinions from you guys. Thanks for all the help so far.

ws7 is fake also. its not an option GM had for ls1 cars. some guy came up with that idea here in ls1.com to put a ram air hood on, then get a ws7 decal just so he can feel sprcial.

What is the biggest reason the the WS6 has and extra 15-20hp?
Is that something that I could change myself if I got a non WS6?

Sorry to ask such basic knowledge questions, I deal with 2nd generation T/A's. I don't know much about the 4th gen ones, but I do plan to learn. I would like to own a 99 to go along with my 79.
when you dyno a ram air compared to a non ram air, generally same numbers.
the 20 more hp was a marketing ploy

ASC Global is the company that produced the LS1 WS.6.

    Well...not produced, but converted the T/A into a WS.6.

you could of ordered a hood from gm if you got a t/a or formula. hell they will sell you anything you want, but it wouldnt come from the factory like that, they would have to instal it at the dealer.
no real bumps in power either. dyno pulls have proved that

oh haha ok, so you only put it on there if you have a normal trans am and buy the ram air hood for it?

    Basicly.

Just a way to have it look just like the WS.6 without actually calling it a WS.6. You can buy WS.7 badges that look just like the rear WS.6 badge.
