Thread: orange coolant

    It took two tries to get all the air out of our system after changing out the hoses. I actually filled the system over the course of a couple of hours as I was doing other things. Added about 1/2 quart at a time and just let it settle in. On start up, the level stayed at the filler neck until I cracked the throttle. It did a lot of "spitting" from the TB hose as the air worked out and I just kept adding more bit by bit. The temp came up to about 210 on the guage and I wasn't getting any circulation through the radiator, so I shut it down, waited, and then tried again.

    If this problem wont go away you might want to check your heads if they become alittle warped or the gasket starts to go you could be sending pressure from combustion through you cooling system and then the coolant would be pushed out the over flow.

    That's a possibility also. Another reason why I hate diagnosing things over the internet, it is hard to do without actually being there to see what is happening. We can only give semi-informed suggestions. By semi-informed, I mean only info supplied by the poster, not me lol.
