samurai showdown kicked ass, street fighter was good but it became a new version over and over and got old after there were like 30 "street fighter 2" games, but i hafta say mortal kombat 2. the others were good but i remember playin mk2 all the time. new fatalities and friendships and babalities were funny, then who can forget TOASTIE!!

i like mortal kombat but it was way to hard to do any moves. Like the finishing moves you would have to stand so far or close. Pluse you only get a coulpe of seconds to hit 25 bottons in order.

Mortal Kombat, because of Sonya and Katana. Besides, it had fatalities. The pit fatalities were the best.

Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat all the way! I pumped in sooo many quarters lining up to play against all the local kids at the arcade.

Too hard? How the hell? All the basic moves were the same for every character!
I had to choose Punch Out. The reason why I chose it, is becuase of the fact that its harder to resist to play and therefore, is more of a favorite to me. Even Super Punch Out.
I had Mortal Kombat for both the snes and genesis. My bro got the one for game gear. MK2 for snes. After that, the series started to suck and actually did a street fighter phase, re-doing the 3rd games, adding characters. But when 4 came out, it got much better! Then deadliy alliance and there was another one (that I have for the ps2). Then you got sub zeros adventure which sucked, but the new one with liu kang and kung lao is good.
I had so many street fighter 2s. Even for the ps1. Ever wonder why they never ever put the ORIGINAL street fighter on our systems. They did for TurboGrafx CD and called it Fighting Street. And I think they also did a capcom collection for the PSP, but I dont own one..
Street Fighter did make the franchise for 2d fighting games. Mortal Kombat was what made the lines...no, Mortal Kombat 2 made the fucking lines. That bitch Katana and her combos. And the throws were "cheap."
