Sounds like it to me. Sounds like you're crap is "F-d" up. If you have to screw yours into place, Have they been broke before or is that a type of after market grill?

I'm not familiar with any SIDE grill has screws. We are talking side grill right?.....lol.

Yes...in the TA....my side grilles are black PVC.....the chrome SS grills are actually overlays that screw into the original plastic PVC grilles.....so to have nice SS grilles they are bolted inti the black plastic PVC and then it is the black PVC grill that gets snapped back into place....go take a look on afterthoughtsauto.com....you can see the black outline around the SS grilles...They are called SS Grill Inserts....

Well, thanks to you and your instructions I get it. You have to release them from the inside, then bolt the SS grilles to the black PVC, then you pop them back in through the front... WELLA NEW LOOK!!!

Since I just ordered 4 new side grilles upper and lower the install will be simple...just get old ones out..

And only need the 5 year old girl to pop them out...LOL

For removal instructions Go Here: http://www.geocities.com/somhawk2002/

It does not go straight to the page, but here's how you get to it.

Click on the picture on the first page.
Scroll down to the 10th link that's called Guage Overlays and click on it.

This guy has detailed instructions on how to get in there. He was doing white face guages, but it will give you the info you need to do your install. You can't just pull off the plexi glass cover, you have to remove the whole thing.

    Good Luck.
