Back in the day they worked off vacuum. They would pull vacuum from the card or thru the pcv lines. You might be able to do it off vacuum from the master cylinder. But I dont think it would be functional.. And of course I could be wrong on that.. You would just have to vent the air back up to the throttle body.

Air is coming in from the front here with the shaker on top. Looks like it is probably still run off vacuum...
From the Forf techs...
(Air enters the throttle body from both the traditional spot in the inner fender and through the Shaker scoop. There is an actual ram effect starting at about 80 mph, according to Team Mustang's Scott Hoag.)

ohh i see what u mean. i dont plan on changing my mind on it, but sometimes it does take outside opinions to realize its not waht u really want. as much as i wanna build a car just for me, its still something i wanna be able to show off.
if its not too hard of a process ill do it eventually no matter what, im jsut seein what other ppl think since it seems im the first to think of it

Outside opinions which are great to have are just that. Someone telling you how they would or would not build a car. I understand your saying it makes you realize its not what you really want. But then again to me... Thats you building the car other people want.. Not the car that you REALLY want...

Mine doesn't shake, but I saw another on this site that may. I left my lid in place and am using a Fast Toys Ram Air, but the other scoop I saw is using a custom air box and has fabed a pipe to the intake using the scoop for cold air.
He fastened the scoop to the the intake, and by removing the stock air box and lid made some room and he is not using the rubber gasket from the stock scoop, so potentially, his may shake. Mine is fastened to a STB, so no movement. The LS1 really doesn't shake much anyway. The other guy has also installed a working door on his scoop linked to RPM's. Very cool!

Can't say for sure, but my thought would be that it is well-balanced and transfers is power to the crankshaft rather than bouncing around like a second gen. Don't get me wrong, I love second gens, but they were much less efficient in the displacement to HP ratio. Those 400 and 455 CI motors didn't result in the HP or torque that our 350's give.
