so i was thinkin i want to do a true dual exhaust.. whats your oppinion about that? and maybe a head and cam package in the future.. $$ is tight. so the exhaust would be the first thing.

Well, mixed feelings I think the duals into the Y pipe and then larger out the back works extreamly well. The only advantage is when you would be doing a high horsepower application their can be advantages to the true duals with crossover properly placed it will move more air/equalize pressure between the banks. True duals also make it hard to keep the car low their isnt enough room onder there to clear the exhaust. A good cat back system makes the biggest difference Headers next. The heads and cam package really open the motor up and if you dont have an LS-6 intake that helps also. The fast aftermarket intake works well and you can place a bigger throttle body on that intake. Hey its my opinion and you know as they say it is like buttholes everyones got one.
LOL

Pewter Metallic- 2002 Firebird Formula
Hey Mike, I'm a big fan of Team Trans-Am and I've been rooting for you guys the whole way. So far so good, but everyone knows that can change in an instant! One well-placed deer or plain old wear & tear can change things in a heartbeat, but I'm pullin for you guys each week.
I just got my Formula out of her winter "hibernation" and spent about $1500 getting new brakes/rotors, fixed a leaky pinion seal, changed spark plug wires & plugs, tune-up, and complete systems check. It was all stuff that accumulated last summer/fall, but my winter truck needed work when I started driving it so I put everything off til spring on the Formula. Can't wait to pick her up tonight... now we just need that warm spring weather to come back!!
I'll be watching Bullrun tonight -- hate to say it but I'm banking on the Mexicans getting the old heave-ho unless someone else's car suddenly bites the dust.

I would like to see the Lotus get lost, but I think the M3 will be out this one...
