to me, the x would put the apex in the middle of the car and thus be something in the way you'd have to avoid like if you were trying to swap out a drive shaft/transmission in mid-event.

what about... the whole center empty... and the two rails that slide front to back... then the post hydraulic jacks that slide side to side on each post... with arms on them to reach the section you need to lift on... does that make sense? because it does in my head... BUT who would pay that much extra... for something that is really only practical for changing tires... not even practical to get under the car with
