Nah ..just look at Gorden last year .. was doing great till that Chace started .. Just hope it isnt Stewart .. better watch for JJ.. if he is close he could pull it off .. but prob be JR,,, think of the money NASCAR can make if he wins

Since we are making predictions now , heres mine. Jr will never win a Cup, his wins will be few and far between and in less than 5 yrs. he will have to do what Micheal Waltrip did. Start his own team just so he will have a ride. And thats too bad because I had grand delusions of him bringing the #3 back to the glory days.

I agree. He's definately not the driver his dad ever was. I think he has a great tendency to crumble under pressure. I still think KB is showing hes very hungry for a title, and also showing hendrick racing they fucked up by letting him go for a "bigger name" draw.

Im no so sure about that. The cars went faster back then. You also have Richard Petty, Darryl Waltrip, Cale Yarborough, Harry Gant etc etc etc. Today there is at most a FEW that contend every week, back then you had a slew of them.

I'm not just talking about the drivers, I'm talking about the cars too. You can't tell me for one second the cars back then were as evenly matched as they are today. No way bud.

Case in point.......Richard Petty winning races by many LAPS. You are not going to see that kind of a win margin ever again.

One of the biggest changes in old Cup was in 93 when NASCAR changed from Bias ply tires to radial tires ... and also 92 , I think , when they started the pit road speed rule .. There was defiantly a change in the guard ... Every year since NASCAR works to hard to make the cars equal.. You always had different Drivers winning races .. but not as many dominate now like they did back then ...

I think the COT is helping a little .. but yea.. lots of tracks that I used to look forward to , very disapointing .. Never liked Daytona as much as Talladega.. that two break away thing at Talladega this year was crazy ....

I think the restarts should be single file, and in the order youre running in. It sucks ass for someone to be in 10th position, only to have 10 lap cars on the inside line to have to go past. And fucking idiot drivers like elliot sadler and montoya (who seem to wreck someone every fucking week) need to go find something else to do for a living.

that tire thing was bigger than most people realize .. Dales wins realy started falling off after they did that ..I know Mikey hit a guy on pit road .. forget if it killed him or not .. and I forget what year they went to helments for pit crew ...
