I could eat about a dozen golf ball size dumplings

Got some kielbasa and fresh veggies in the crock in a home-made tomato sauce right now. Just something thrown together this morning. Hopefully it tastes as good as it looks.

Maybe you're crock pot thermostat is on the blink and it's getting too hot

I had to buy a new one because my other one was boiling the crap out of things. Even on the 'warm' setting.

Although, not allot of meat on ribs and the crock pot is going cook them till it falls off the bones.

Slow cooking them in the oven tightly covered works pretty well though.

this is how I would do it if I weren't smoking them ( which I always do). I'd put them in a casserole dish, sauce the mess out of them, and cook them covered in the oven.

Me too. Crock pots are great. But, not for everything.

I was in line at the grocery store a while back and the lady behind me was stocking up on untrimmed Tri Tips that were on sale just like I was. She mentioned she was going to throw one in the crock pot when she got home and I immediately felt the bertstare.jpg come on...

Hmm... I've got ground sirloin and hot Italian sausage in the freezer. Maybe I'll make some sauce today.

It got up to 114 yesterday and no way in hell I'm using the oven or grilling today. It's supposed to be another hot one.

It's supposed to cool down quite a bit this weekend though. I sure hope so.

It's only 10:00 am and I already don't feel like cooking dinner
