The words, "new MAF" points right at the problem if you did indeed get a aftermarket MAF.

Look at it firstly. If nothing is obvious then you can always take a can of starting fluid and spray around the intake...when you hear/feel the engine surge you just found your leak.

To anyone who has ordered a LS6 valley cover.
Did you noticed alot (ALOT) of hairline cracks on top of it? I cant figure out if its just the casting or if they are actual cracks from shipping.

Quick question about the breather cap...............an aquantance has the same type of breather (made by METCO). Since the cap pushes in instead of being a screw in type, he said that he actually lost the cap while doing some spirited driving, spewing oil over the bottom of his hood and engine.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this problem.............?

Never heard of that. Many ( I mean many) folks with highly modded carts/FI/Nitrous use these including myself and have never had that. He must have not had it plugged in good. I have to really pull to get mine off and cannot imagine how many lbs. of pressure it would take to blow it off. My money is on he didn't have it all the way in to begin with.

LOL, funny this comment just came up. I just finished my LS6 valley cover and system setup like shown on page 1. I COULD NOT get that stock cap off. My cap I bought has a area at the bottom to screw onto... something. Ill go back tomorrow and yank harder after a good nights rest when its not 330AM

SARGE-LS1 community I've got a PCV/Catch can problem
I've got a viper engine. The valve covers have been gutted there are no baffles or mesh. There is only an fittings with hoses connected to catch cans with filters on top of them. One catch can per valve cover. Also NO pcv.
The problem is the smell... my wife and kids are getting a bit sick of the smell and I'm tired of wetting down the fender well.
I've been looking at the catch cans without the breathers on them, where the come off the valve cover, into the can, through the trap and back into the intake.
Would this work on my whipple setup? I'd like to run the can's into my intake hat before the blower but after the throttle body.
Would this work or do i need a PCV, what should i do?
Thanks
