No, The company I work for has nothing to do with that project as far as I know. May be above my pay scale, which isn't hard to do

Google search of the tower you mentioned:
Largest Ohio turbine
279 foot
2.5 megawatt
The towers I work on everyday are 300 foot, 2.3 megawatt. The new production turbines that are going up with my company(with a laundry list of problems) are 3.0 megawatt direct drives (no gear box). I'm sure it's the largest Ohio has ever seen, but not the USA or world. Vestas has a offshore 7.0 in the works, no details on it though. There are turbines ready that are of ginormous size, but moving them on local highways pose a serious problem.

I knew there were larger turbines, they must have been fluffing the specs a little on the radio. It's still mighty impressive to see up close. They seem to be gaing momentum around here. I think it's the third our fourth they've put up locally.

No complaints really. Hotter then all hell. 106* everyday for weeks, no rain. The area is easier to live in compared to the northwest. There's actually people and stores around here.
I would like to get back to the east coast for some work, but there's no hope in sight for that. Going back to the northwest when and if ever, this job in Texico gets finished.

I saw a wing/propeller for one of the wind mills being transported on the highway just yesterday. It was massive and took me by surprise at first as I couldn't quite determine what it was until I thought about it for a few.

I see those things on the highway alot. Crazy that they are so massive compared how they look in the air.
Bought everything for my car last night, now lets see if I can get off my lazy ass in this heat and fix her. Lol

That's not a typical time for you, is it Carpy? I know it's not an 11 sec. runner, but it runs better than that usually doesn't it?

I thought it did. Was surging on my time trial runs. Left the fans on too long and killed the battery before first round the ran over a .1 slower from the run before but was smooth the entire pass.
First time running it. Plan was cut good lights and make them break out chasing me down or red light. My brother the Scooby tech gave me a few ideas on things to check so maybe I'll get it straight. Doubt I'm gonna run next month's race since its Yellow Bullet Nats and prolly won't have it sorted by thenLast edited by GTP231; 08-06-2011 at 01:33 PM.

We get the most work when the customers get their coupons in the mail. Super Saver Special LOF/rotate. Anything else is like pulling teeth. Now we are back to doing PDIs and FQIs.

Rained here most of the day. Finished hanging the drywall and did some electrical work on the new bathroom.

Since we're out of town for the weekend, we decided to eat at Texas Roadhouse tonight. Damn good steak. I am feeling quite satisfied with a few beers and some good food in my stomach. Should be home tomorrow afternoon......

I like this whole woman-training you're doing Jeff. More people need to teach their daughters the lost art of cooking.
