It must be bad ass to be a cop.. and you have a LS1 Camaro.. you can do alot of stuff and get away with it.

j/k Actually, there are importers all over the place in the US, most reputable one I know and trained with is a retired Onondaga Co (NY) Sheriffs Sgt named Jeff Gates, he happens to live in Florida now.

What actually makes it a czech shepherd besides the coloring?
Are there many in the US?
How much will getting one imported cost?
More money than obamas giving in bailouts?

What makes them isn't really the coloring, they must be born and bred Czech lines. Some colors are seen more common among german and czech lines but its not a determining factor, all comes down to location and documented breeding lines.

A friend of mine had his GS imported from Czechoslovakia and the initial cost of the GS was $2K but other expenses were tacked on too, I think he ended up with a $3000 house dog...

Thank you, Jasso was actually Czech....he cost $7500 at the time and was 19 months old when I got him. Ontario is from Poland....yeah I know, a polish shepard! He just cost my dept $11,500 at 21 months. He was also titled though. Gringo is a great looking boy! I hope you spend as much time with him as possible.You really dont know what you are missing untill they are gone! For some reason, they never like the camera people...fortunately for Mrs Wild and I, we know why!

Mrs Wild covered this one pretty well, the euro is now worth 1.5 on the dollar. So pretty much think of it this way....if they want 5,000 euro for the dog, you are going to pay close to 10,000 in U.S. and that would be for an untrained un titled 24 month old canine! After 911, good cheap canines are far and few between!

I always thought czech shepherds had less brown on em and more black mixed in....and their saddles (cant think of the word of that patch on their top back) were bigger and mixed more in with the side of the dog....

Like the one on gladiator....thought that waas a czech shepherd too

Yeah, you know as well as I do that everyday is a challenge having a Polish Shepard named Ontario around a bunch of cops! So far he has been called Toronto, Vancuver, and just about every other city in Canada...they also find it amusing to tell me to give him the opposite command of what I want him to do...being he is Polish and all....I have heard it all! You think German commands are tough....try these on for size

Well thanks Mrs Reef, they are great companions, work partners, and (as I just recently found out) one of the hardest things to let go of! Canine is a big part of my life, you dog, the teams, and the training, it all consumes you! I have a very hard time looking at Jasso urn without tearing up! I still can not believe he is not hear anymore.....its like a real bad dream that has lasted over the last four months!
