I cant remember exactly where but somewhere in the bible it stays the holy laws we should live by, but it also states that we are to "abide by the laws of the land" as well

You assume that everyone who opposes same sex marriage is a bible thumping christian. Yet I have a hard time believing this when the latest studies done show that the amount of non religious people in the country are growing each year by double digits. I know many people who will have nothing to do with religion believe in abortion and so forth but when it comes to marriage they still believe in only between a man and woman. It has to do more then with religion it also has to do with nature. Marriage is seen as a way to create a stable environment to mate and raise children. It should be between a man and a woman has been ingrained into peoples minds by thousands of years of evolution. While people argue that a homosexual evironment can provide a stable home for a child too it still goes against thousands of years of human past and culture. Also if people want or feel the need to be homosexual thats fine with me. I oppose religion myself I was sent to a private religious school for many years and have no love for religion at all. In fact i avoid it all costs. I am pro abortion and so on but I still believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman.
