Anti-climatic. He got me on stationary radar as I passed under the exit on I-77 (this was in 1983), at around 2 in the morning. There was five miles to the next exit. I saw the old bubble light come on, but I was pretty much concentrating on driving. Not one more car going southbound with me (that doesn't happen anymore). Anyway, I knew he had me with the radio, not the 110mph Grand Fury, so I slowed down , pulled over, and waited. He came up, let me know who was boss, and then calmed down. I was respectful (my dad was a cop too), and just hoped for the best. It was my lucky night because he let me go with a good preachin' to, and a pop of the hood. I never saw the radar reading, but I believe it. The car had a 140mph speedo which was buried and I think I max'ed out on rpm's (I was floored for about two miles). Stupid, very stupid.

Sold that car within a month.

Yesterday, as a matter of fact, some crazy fucktard was riding my ass and I swear, tried rear ending my Camaro. The wife was like WTF is this guy doing?! I told her I didn't know and that I was going to let him pass. Well, he didn't. Must've thought it'd be more fun to play dumbass games with me. We were on a 70 mph highway and I slowed to 50 to get him to just pass and go away. When he didn't I'd had enough. I took every gear but sixth to 6k. The last time I looked down I was passing 140 and I was still in it for a little while.

I've had similar sh*t happen to me. I can't stand that. It was actually a work van or something so after I took 2-3 to redline (A4) and was well into 4th doing 120+ when I let off. I looked back and he was well behind of course. I locked cruise at 70 in a 65 and sat in the right lane to calm down. Fifteen minutes later the guy passed on the left and I noticed a "How am I driving?" sign so I dropped it down into 3rd and tailed him while I called the number and read off the truck and license #'s. I hope his ass was fired or suspended.

Then there was another day when I was leaving work around 6:00pm doing 65 in a 65 on the interstate just cruisin' and this limo came flying up on me doing at least 100. There were 4 lanes heading in the same direction here and nobody was around me but this limo came up on my left and instead of just staying there, he cut into the right lane and I slammed my brakes since he almost clipped my front left quarter!!! I was so pissed I didn't know what else to do except punch it and chase him. Well, it didn't take long for me to get on his ass and he started to slow down since there are a lot of Camaro police units on this interstate but that all ended when I just dropped my window and stuck out a loud and proud and chased him down the road for a half a mile or so with my hand out the window. Not much for revenge but at least I felt better afterwards.

1990 Kawie ZX-10 wide open for about 2 minutes.. How fast ? Your guess is as good as mine .. Took my SS into Canada and did the same thing. 155 speedo but had the limiter suspended or removed .. (Previous owner states anyhow) All I can say is after the needle hit 155 it just kept goin. And goin.. and goin..<shrug>

I have been around 160mph in my LS1 on the interstate, I would say 135mph in a 35mph racing somebody, and 45mph in reverse in a corolla (the scariest experience)

My 02 ws6 just has a couple things done to it, and I don't know if I hit top velocity on the stock tune or what but I backed off from there. question though that kind of goes with this thread....DOES ANYONE KNOW IF T/A's are governed? and how would you get around it?
