Sunset Orange Metallic- 2002 SS
one question... who really cares? I would drive a 370z if i could afford one and liked it, but i like lsx cars. It (370z) really should be better, I mean our cars are 7+ years old now and if new model cars arent able to out drive ours then the auto industry is really ass backwards

True, i believe this discussion is to know thy enemy. Just so you know what kind of race to expect if you ever coem across one. I was never trying to say the 370z was better or that i liked it better. But with mag times of 13.3 @107mph thats good enough to keep up with 98% most stock ls1 cars in 1/4mile. I went a 13.2 with my bone stock 2000 m6 T/A and all my other ls1 friends said my car was a freak going that fast.Last edited by Zinergy; 04-24-2009 at 09:34 AM.

I actually saw what I think was a 350Z today. I had to park near it and saw a 350Z emblem on the rear.
Man that is one ugly SOB of a car.

Yep it's personal opinion,,,and I personally didn't see anything on it tastefull, and really didn't peak my interest
Just blended in with every other new car on the road to me. It looked to be a very small car to me as well.
I was in my 71 Sprint at the time, considered a small car in it's era,,,and it literally dwarfed the 350Z in size.
Is that thing a 2 seater????Last edited by Firebirdjones; 04-24-2009 at 06:34 PM.

Probably jealous because their cars don't look that aggressive(esp w/ the ws6 hood)...who knows?

Red- 2000 SS '89 IROC-Z
I love Trans Ams styling from the front all the way until you get to the hatch. I don't like how the spoiler wraps around. And I wish they put similar fog lights as the Camaro on the T/As.

Ya the formula actually had those outer foglights positioned in the lower most outer corners of the car,,,,and I personally like the look,,,clean and simple.
I like the T/A to a point up to 1997. The front end was very clean and simple on the LT1 cars. After that the front ends just got too busy looking. Maybe if the front facia/bumper was cleaned up a bit I could live with it. And the WS6 hood just adds another set of bumps on top of another pair of openings,,and looks outta place. Just too many lines and breaking points to suit me. I always thought the Firehawk hood was a much better looking piece that was more subtle.

i will agree that the formy's front bumper looks awsome..i love the lighting setup..but i wish they were a little more closer to the ground..like the t/a's ..i had a chance to buy a 00' white formy ..i cant remember if it was a hard top...i dont think it was..but anyways it was a ws6..and the thing looked sooo good..thinking back..i should have taken it.

I'm not knocking the TA's by any means. I'd own one. Shucks there are things I don't like about our 4th gen SS's.
When my wife's other 4th gen was totalled in a rearend collision we were looking at another 4th gen for a replacement. We were considering everything,,,,just so happened another SS came our way at a good price. It very well could have been a WS6 or a Formula too.I'm not picky when it comes to cars, we have a wide variety in the arsenal.

I could not agree more, so many people are Toyota and import cheerleaders now a days, they will claim anything, "JD POWERS said this"
Toyota PAYS peple off to give them good reviews.. GM with it's expensive unions eating them up, has little extra for payoffs.
And "Yes", I've personally seen the Tundra frames rust, engine problems bigtime.. Tailgates falling off.. they can't handle a load of Dry hay.
Me best friend loves Toyota's, will own nothing else now, swears by them, but has dropped $1000's and $1000's in his 01-04 Camry (forget year)., Yet he claims it is more dependable than the Buick he owned for many years that got 25 mpg, and he only needed to put a Alternator on it, and change oil once.
And the Legendary FAST powerful Supra... I've never been impressed with..
With the same boost, an LX1 engine will make more WAY more power and be more dependable than that 3.0 inline 6 Supra...the Buick GN of the mid to late 80's with a V6 could archive over 1000 hp easy, with enough boost.. There is no secret high tech that Japan only has here... but boy the Import worshipers would say different.
the 350-370 is somewhat powerful, the only thing coming out of Japan that can make power without a half million tons of boost...
And I give it respect for that... before the 350z, the rice imports had to have boost vs non boosted American cars to defeat or hang with us
an Ls1 can make as much or more power per ltr or cubic inch of both are built right and same boost...That includes R-34 Skyline or Supra engines
AS for Wesman not giving respect to imports?? no big deal... look on this forum I see ,many people who admire imports, yet 75% of the import crowd HATES domestics with a passion, never give them respect..
The common line is, "big, dumb, heavy engines that make no power, lacking technology, or how the import 2.0 or 3.0 makes 2x the power of a 5.7 -7.0 etc (boost vs non boost of course)
Go on any the import sites and see for yourself..
Yet if Weasman doesn't worship Nissan or Toyota, he is Crucified ... of course it's ok to talk down on the Blue oval cars... but talk down on any Asian car, and get a racist sticker slapped on your back, to get you to shut up..

Never realized it was my first post, I read here often, post little
Bought me a 2000 z28 a few weeks ago, 1st, ls1 car.. Heck, 1st muscle car I bought in 20 yrs (I've owned a couple of 13 sec cars in the 1980's)(early 90's)
Being on old mopar lover.. they got too expansive to fix up, buy rebuild..
I wanted a nice 5-10 yr old car, and researched what AMERICAM muscle would give me what I wanted, I like Mustangs, but have owned a few Chevys (still do)
and the 4th Gen F-body has a nice Sleek style.. and potential that hangs close to the Big blocks.
I admire the 4th gen Lt1 and Ls1 Camaros and Firebirds mostly.
Thanks for the welcome
