Also for a 224 what else am I gonna need? dual or single springs? gaskets, puchrods, retainers, timing chain, oil pump, whats needed? Its a 2002 with 50,000 miles

Also what kind of gains can be expected with a TR224 at 114 lsa?
most of the tuners out there have their cams come from comp cams.
    i have the 224/224 581/581 114 lsa cam.
if you get a whole cam kit everything just about needed comes with it.
i have the beehive dual springs and hardened push rods.

the lsa on a 112 will make alittle more power in the lower rpms.

You're not creating a great image for yourself imo. You trash talk people until a Mod tells you to stop (ie: The Firebird vs Vette Thread). So, I'm saving a mod the trouble...stop please.
My point exactly...i'm through arguing...it's getting old.....

questions like that are going to get a nice variety of answers from people that have personal experience with one and not the other...
its just a known fact... for instance... i have a tsp cam... im obviously going to say hey i love tsp they are gret, but when in fact thunder could be better... point being... research what is best for you... we can help steer in the right direction but most people arent going to think their opinion through... thats my philosophical thought for the day

well i was just wondering what the general consensus was before i wasted time reasearching a cam that was no good

obviously i'm going to call the company up and ask them more in depth questions and more detailed questions so when it DOES come time to order the heads/cams I get the perfect one for me

If you go with a different cam do you suggest getting headers? I really don't want to until i get a different exhaust since I heard slp loudmouth sux with headers. How much roughly does a cam install cost? And what extra do you need to buy for the install. I am also looking at getting a better cam for my dd. Please help with links as well if you could.

Headers usually come before a cam, like a prerequisite.

Get the headers first. If all your info about loudmouth is simply just what you have heard on here then don't worry about the loudmouth exhaust since sound quality is simply a matter of opinion on here. Put the headers on and judge for yourself. At that point decide if you want to do something about the catback system. Everyones ideas on exhaust are a little different.

Agreed. If the Loudmouth is too much you can put a bullet muffler in the I pipe to quiet it down a bit with out swapping the whole catback.
