I didn't realize Black Friday was solely for Christmas shopping.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

I shot a buck during bow and a doe during gun deer. Going on some drives on Sunday, last chance to shoot a buck with gun his season. Actually last chance to shoot a buck period this year since I already used my archery buck tag.

Jon hope your feeling better.
Deer season starts Monday for us, took our rifles out to shoot them today, my daughter made a comment to me that she is out shooting me and her grandfather said not yet he hasn't shot. When we went down to get our targets I asked her " What did you say about out shooting me?" And her response was "Oh Crap" She is one Hell of a good shot but today was my day....Went over to the pistol range and shot a couple clips through my 380 bodyguard, that is a badass little pocket gun.

Finished up the tire swap this afternoon. Had a hell of a time getting the beads to seat on these tires -- had to pump them up to almost 60 psi before they seated on all four tires.

It was a bit nerve wracking - especially with the big decal staring back at me that warns to never exceed 40 psi when seating beads.
Not sure what the plan is today. Will probably take the recycling down to the Township building this morning and then go to Dawn's parents' later. It rained overnight so my plan to get the Camaro out for the ride up just got shelved.

I worked at a truck stop as a teenager changing tires and such. That was back in the day of the old split ring bead locks... that was some scary shit.

I use to hate seating the beads on my big truck. We had a portable air tank that my brother in law modified with a ball valve and something like a 2" pipe with the end flattened enough to get between tire and rim. Hold on tight open that valve and bam instantly the bead was sealed.
I'm finally going to put the winter dawgs on the car today. It is almost December it's got to snow soon

We've had snow already. It all melted already though.

split rims......shudders. When I was a young buck private dealt with those bastards.
Saw a specialist almost lose her leg because she wasn't using a safety cage to air one up after a tire change.

I am considering running a large air line over to the machine and fabricating an end like you described with a ball valve to make a homemade bead seater. I believe that my supply line coming into the garage is 3/4" black pipe so I should have sufficient volume to pull it off.

My only concern would be giving it a shot with to high of a psi that could blow the tire apart!
With our truck tires they take like 120psi + so we could hit them with a 100psi to set the bead. You try using dish soap around the bead to help it slide?

Jeff, something worth looking into if you are interested. also on the main page, if you read their 'rules' for the black Friday sale you have to be a registered member before you can use the coupon codes. Can't beat .01 cent sales!

Can't be any more dangerous than the old school method -- can of starting fluid and a match.
Seriously, I would think that as the shot of air seats the bead that it automatically stops the flow of air into the tire. The internal volume would be such that the actual pressure probably does not get all that high. I guess I won't know until I try it.

Yea your right Jeff it's not like all 100+ psi goes in the tire. It sure did work good
