Carsponserships.com SCAM

I just noticed your car sponserships link in your signature when I was looking at the CME topic. Is it worth the $80 or whatever and what all is involved?
7camaro7
you pay like $89 and they find potential sponsors for you. They have like discount sponsorships and full sponsorships. the discounts are pretty damn nice and the full sponsorships are even better because they're free!
All you have to do is:
1. enter atleast 3 car shows a year and take pictures with your sponsors names visible on your car which is very clean.
2. Keep in contact with them. a call a week should suffice.
3. send them pictures and keep them updated on your progress.
really easy and really fun! I did it for a year and it was awesome. Since I told you about it, and if you choose to sign up... use my link so I get credit for it. also did you see the car that I had did it with?
V
I'll have to look into that now that im not in football anymore. I'll be sure to use ur link if I get it. No I didn't see it.

So the SS is sponserd too then?
7camaro7
nope, as far as I know they've got nothing I'd want to use on it. This car is going to be MUCH different; no decals, neons, or body kit.
by the way, the longer you stay with them the more they'll do for you. I got sick of my tranny messing up on my old 6 and I sold the car. at that time they were about to hook me up with some lambo doors and all kinds of stuff, FREE!!!!!!! I almost regretted getting rid of it, but I got my SS like a few days short of a month later! So I'm pretty happy now, I've got one of my dream cars.
V
Theres not very much I would do to appearance wise to my car now that I've got most of it done. The only things I really need are lowering springs and engine dressup stuff. I would love a set of lambo door conversion brackets too. lol
7camaro7
as far as performance stuff for our cars goes, they have very little. They had suspension upgrades and some flywheels. Enginewise, nothing. They DO have connections with companies who do the lambo door kits. I almost had one but right before I sold my car they were about to GIVE, that's right GIVE me a lambo door kit. When I was in the process of selling my car, I had been with them for just over a year and they were about to REALLY hook me up.
V
Every little bit helps tho. Shit if I can get hooked up with free lowering springs.
7camaro7
If they like you, you'll probably get the hook up!
If you honestly think I was falling for this bullshit, your dead wrong. Fortunately for me, I did my research ahead of time and came up with this which was quite interesting.

I could care less for SCAM's on the internet because I know one when I see one. But the fact that this SCOUT under the username of 7camaro7 is on here luring people that are n00b's into it is just plain bullshit! This guy honestly thought he was gonna get a kickback for me signing up. I won't stand for this kinda crap going on in our forums.

my buddy did SCP (sport compact pro) for a while. same deal if isn't the exact same thing.
he had his rep call me and inquire if i wanted in with my 96 monte carlo. i was slightly interested cause i could get my rksport gfx for cheap.
i was immediately turned off by the guys cocky dipshit attitude and the first question out of his mouth was "i'll take you so long as you don't have that redneck nascar number 3 shit all over your car."
i don't like nascar and i don't have anything 3 on my car but for some reason i was still offended. i think it was more that i was offended that he was enough of a jackass to make that type of assumption about someone he never met before.

Bunch of bullshit. My sponsorship for the car is my own hard work to pay for it.

I did that too once. Don't hate - I was a lot younger and dumber (this was at least 5-6 years ago).
I felt stupid that I fell for it, but I stuck it out and talked with the BBB for about a month, and I was reimbursed from that company for the full amount they charged me.
If you think about it - it is a great money making racket...just think of all the people who gave them $80 and didn't get their money back!

Thats exactly what im trying to prevent from happening to the members on this forum. Most of us are smart enough that we won't even consider it, but others that aren't as knowledgable deserve the right to know.
I checked the BBB too and theres 2 addresses listed for the company in the same city and state. 125 complaints in the last 6 months.
