Lowering Kit!
I am wanting to lower my 1998 Trans Am. I have no clue what I need for the T/A to do this. Please help! Also if possible if you suggest a certain lower spring please show pictures.

you have 18's right? should look pretty good, dunno if they'll rub when you drop it. Here is mine on eibach ProKit [1.25" drop] with 17" grandsport ZR1's. Sits really sick. Don't just put springs on and drive it, though. You'll need better shocks like Koni's to adapt to the drop and dampen the ride properly. Not to mention and adjustable panhard bar and lower control arm relocation brackets.

actually i just looked at your profile...looks liek you have 17/18's ... you should just lower the front and give the car a really aggressive "raked" look

not to hijack the thread or anything but I was also looking to lower mine and I noticed you could buy bolt on or weld on relocation brackets for the rear lower control arms. I would think the weld in are better but with the bolt on I would be able to do it myself. Any suggestions? I figured it would help out KJAX also.

Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
I was running the ProKit on the stock shocks for roughly 7,500 miles. Finally able to feel that they are nearing the end of their life.
It is up to you, but those suspension parts are helpful when lowered.
Let me know quickly though...going to need to sell one of these sets of springs (probably the new BMR's) in a few weeks.

If I am not mistaken, the BMR's are supposed to be easier on the shocks. But I could be wrong...not up on all the springs.

how much you think it would cost to have someone weld the brackets on for me. I currently have no welding skills

thanks although I don't think I'm ready to trust the exhaust shops near my house. They're a little shady.

I've heard that the bolt in brackets will work just fine-this was from mrr22 and he drives his pretty aggressively. Regardless, you'll have to have a shop mess with either of them b/c the brake line runs through the stock braket and has to be relocated as well when the new one goes on- so you may as well get the weld ins
