THis is why you dont let 17 yr old drivers get behind the wheel of 500+ horsepower cars. the kid really barely has a drivers liscense and he gets pro driver contracts from companies like mopar jus cause his dad is the best wrestler to ever enter a ring. spoiled lil bitch, endless supply of super fast cars. freakin kid should be driving a 125 horsepower econobox. i dont care what talent someone shows for a sport like drifting, at 17 you jus dont have the experience of maturity to handle it. Thank god i didnt have a fast car at his age. I'd be dead. Now we are gonna see him on tv talking about how he found jesus and how speed kills lol

I agree with you to a point. It really depends upon the maturity of the driver and how much experience and control he/she has. I know my limits when I get in my car because I've spent time in empty parking lots just getting a feel for the handling, braking, and power characteristics. My dad's corvette is a completely different story. The only time I drive it is when he asks if I want to, and when I do, I don't push the envelope unless I know I can safely.
The main reason Nick wrecked that damn Viper is because he didn't have consistant throttle control throughout the drift, thats why the car jerked off the line and hit the wall. No doubt, its probably the same reason he wrecked his dads supra.
Can't wait until I move to texas because once I get settled in I plan to go to Bondurant over the summer to get more familiar with advanced driving techniques. God knows I definately need to brush up on my shifting so I can get more comfortable with it. The mistake I made when I got my T/A was not getting the 6 speed so I could practice daily so it could become second nature.

theres a big difference between a 350 horse ls1 and the output of the cars Nick is driving, and fuck you can get in jus as much trouble in a 350 horse car. you might have not crashed yet but do you know exactly how to handle the situation when your car gets away from you? kids panic

I've lost control of my car on ice ('01 Vert Firebird) and my moms old Tahoe in the snow. Both situations I never paniced (I did say "Shit, ok.") and I fully recovered from both. I'll leave the Tahoe situation out because it was just a basic other driver slides at you avoidance which was pretty easy considering the amount of snow. My firebird was about 55* or so (best guess) in a slide that was about to throw me over an enbankment. I had 3 friends also driving behind me that were doing donuts and shit in a parking lot. We were out just cruising around in rain that just so happened to turn to freezing rain. If you bother to listen to your instructors for drivers ed unlike alot of teens, they give you the alot of helpful hints as to what to do, its just a matter of how quickly you react to the situation. I was about 6 to 8 feet from the embankment when I came to a stop. I won't go into what all I did to avoid a nice wreck but I will say I was doing about 30 in a 35 when I hit the patch of ice around a corner. The thing that pissed me off was my friends thought I was purposely drifting and ran up and said "Holy shit that was awesome". Thats the kind of drivers I have to deal with at my school.
