1998 Purple WS6 For Sale

Is this really one of the six WS6 maual Purples for only 10,900 obo. I mean it has 90,000 miles but if its rare I tought it would be a little more high priced.

ok to be honest i dont even htink purple is gay... i jsut said that so i dont get flamed hahahaha.

i would love to drive a purple car. i almost bought a purple 91 z28, only reason i didnt is cuz im tired of thirdgens lol

If I had a shot at buying a purple T/A in good shape when I go to sell this damn thing, I would jump all over it.

dude if that is one of the actual purples, that's really cool. those are the rarest of the WS6's (other than a 98 vert WS-6 Formy) there are only like 9 remaining documented i think 3 documented hardtops, 4 T Tops, and 2 convertibles...not sure on an exact number but i believe that is correct.. an M6 vert is the rarest though...

I had a Purple Pearl '93, but that purple hue is sort of different. I never really cared for the "grape" color cars, but 1 of 6 is very rare though. It would be great to buy as a collector.

Some people love the color, some hate it. I really like it, my buddy has a purple z28 that he is considering selling. The color looks great in person.

No, I would rather have this gold one, I was just on cars.com to see if there was any golds for sale(which there wasn't) and came across this. I didn't think for being a rare car it would only be 10,900. Just wanted others opinions on rather this is real or what.

There were 12 total purple WS6s built in '98, 9 T/A coupes, 2 T/A 'verts, 1 Formula (thus only 1 possible HT assuming this one did not have the optional t-top that was available on Formulas).

Not sure what the M6/A4 breakdown is. But yeah, purple is definately the rarest color WS6.

Looks like the owner is even confused on what it's got.

BTW, that VIN# is ASC# 0003, converted 2/18/98 the first day ASC started converting WS6s. No doubt, one of 9 real Purple WS6 Trans Am coupes.

I just checked the listing, the owner's description says it's a M6, but the cars.com listing field says automatic. I'd tend to trust the owner's input more than a clerk's keypunch entry accuracy.

How many people here would get pissed off if I told them there was a dealership that sold one of the 9 down here a few months back for 8 grand? it had only like 50,XXX miles? I was soooooooo close of getting it

Yep very rare. Only 6 and GM wanted to buy one back for $70,000. The color was a promo color in the brochure and they forgot to pull it from the paint shop and sprayed a few cars with it.
