Mofos caught me riding dirty.
Returning home from Wal Mart after I purchased a can of W D40, I go through an intersection on a yellow light. I had made the left turn and gone about 10 yards and I seen the light turn green for traffic so I clearly it was not a full out running a red light. Anyways, I hear the lights and sirens and knew I was fked. Pulls me over, starts yelling at me for "running a red light" which I didnt, it was yellow. Then starts yelling that my exhaust is too loud and not street legal (slp loudmouth catback), its loud but its not that loud compared to guys with headers. Then he yells at me that I had a burt out tail light (even If I did, which when I got home found out I didnt, I still would of had 5 other bulbs working not to mention the one in the wing. Needless to say, the cop was being a complete prick because I was driving a nice car. If I was in any other car, I wouldnt have gotten that ticket. I obtain a ticket of 180 dollars plus 3 demerit points and the cop demanded I lose the exhaust or I get silencers. wtf? Ohh and on the ticket, my car was a 2007 pontiac trans am. lmao. 2007? clearly not an f-body fan. Im pissed so I thought Id share the story.

I've never been harassed about it.. yet. I've known import drivers who have been, mainly because their cars looked like they came straight out of Fast and the Furious. Here it seems that as long as you drive domestic and don't drive like an idiot the cops let you slide. Since putting on 20% tint (27% is the limit here) and my exhaust I've been pulled over 3 or 4 times for other infractions but never harassed about my mods.

it happens here too. as a matter of fact it happens a lot in the town I live in; I guess because it's a lil country town. I got pulled over for havin straight pipes on my truck. Lil cop told me that he could he me from over 75 yards with his windows rolled up. I didn't even get on it either....if I had he could have been well past 75 yards with his radio blarin and he still woulda heard me

yea....well when I went to the exhaust shop to have mufflers put on so I could get the ticket thrown out(which didn't happen anyway) the owner told me that the cop who pulled me over had straight pipes on his lil piece of shit izuzu....so I guess he was jealous of mine like you said

see thats what I also thought, but apparently they can make certain mistakes like spell your name wrong, vehicle wrong. But, act violation number must be right and location and time must also be right, so I was told. But im going to look more into it tomorrow. It happened at 9:47 my time. I dont know what the time diffence is for u guys.

As far as the comment about being busted for exhuast noise, I only seen it done to imports with the fart can mufflers, it seems like domestics get respect
