Z06 vs Roush 427R
#1 - From a dig at a traffic light to a left hand turn on a 5 lane highway. 0 to 70mph / Z06 by about 2 cars / I lost traction in 1st and 2nd and he shifted pretty good. We had to shut down for traffic.
#2 - We cleared traffic and lined up at a red light. 0 To 120 / Z06 by about 4 cars. Bounced off the rev limiter in 1st and 2nd from the adrenaline and poor driving.
#3 - He wanted to go from a 20mph roll - 20mph to 140 / Z06 by 6 cars
#4 - 40mph roll - 40mph - 150mph / Z06 by about 7 cars
#5 - 30mph roll - 30 mph to 150 / Z06 by about 8 cars
I didn't get a chance to talk to him but he was cool and gave me a thumbs up.Last edited by BLACKNIGHT03Z06; 08-10-2007 at 11:21 AM. Reason: add sig

Nice kill man... I raced/destroyed a Roush Stage 1 and was so damn happy, then I found out all it is is a body kit...

That's why I come back and research the car I race before I post. I did the samoe thing with a Saleen once. I was telling a guy how I killed a Saleen in my 01' WS6 and he asked me if it was a S281 and not just a 281. The 281 was a body kit, suspension, brake, and exhaust upgrade. No real power addersthat h=kill. Only the S281 had the super charger.

Z06s are amazing production cars. It's hard to stay ahead of the competition in my lil Ford.

Just to clarify... all saleens are S281 (well the 96 and up,)
S281E's they are the nasty bitches... but still not that scary... its like 6 psi on a 2 valve head with a 5 speed... they dont hold a candle to a terminator
and of course the new ones are 3v heads, but its still just a supercharged GT...

Yes I purchased a Diablo Sport Predator after I purchased the car. It was running rich abd I knew I could get a few more ponies with one. Plus I tweaked the cooling fans and eliminated the CAGS. I still think the WS6 is one of the meanest looking cars coming up from behind. I had a red 01' WS6. That black one looks mean man!

I stand corrected. That was over five years ago. But my point was I thought I had really done something in my WS6 but all I did was beat up on a weighted down 2v Mustang GT. The Terminator is the one I've been looking for and yes I feel pretty confident he will own me from any speed. I just want to race one to know how muck more I have to do to add one to my kill list. I don't like to win races because the other person couldn't drive!!!

It sounds like you probably have the car I always wanted to build. Probably a 91' coupe with the TT and all the goodies sneakin around looking for Z06's and Vipers to kill. I think that's awsome man. Here in Dalton we had an after market Tang stop called Mathis Mustang. His son dropped a charged and built to the gills 351 Windsor in and backed it up with a 9" ford rear, aluminum drive shaft and loop, and whatever the blue ovals toughest auto was at the time with a shift kit. If I remember correctly he ran high 6's at our local 1/8 mile strip. The sad ending is he was driving home from Brainard where the 1/8 mile track was and was doing a little more racing on I-75. He out ran 3 Georgia State Troopers in Mustang coupes but got caught by the radio eventually. Lost his car and got 12 months in lock up.
