help! newbie with ws6 questions.
Hello,
I bought a 2001 TA with ram air, ws6 badging, my question is I can't locate the TCS switch, so now I'm wondering if this car is really a true ws6 package, it's got the right seats, i've found the rpo ws6 code on the drivers door but no traction control, if i've researched correctly the ws6 ram air package has traction control, any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Brent

Mine is a WS6 and doesn't. It's an M6 as well. If you pop you hood and look on the pass. strut tower and don't see a black canister with cables that eventually run to the throttle body, you don't have it. I'm assuming you know where the TC switch would be as well.

I just took pics of my drivers door of the rpo codes, everything jives, i popped the fuse cover under the hood and the tc fuse is not used, i just saw in a ad that the ram air package had that also, so i was a little confused. thanks for the info

Hey no prob. Judging by not all cars having it, I am assuming it wasn't standard.

The TC was an an options no switch no TC that simple. Now becarefull cause you can and will get your self in all sorts of trouble if you don't watch out. Especially on anything other then dry pavement. (2002 WS6 M6)

White with Hugger Stripes- 1997 30th Anniversary SS
Both of my F-Bodies have had traction control, but to tell you the truth, I've always turned it off. My old Z28 even had a spool and I had no trouble in the rain, just have to be sensible when driving in slippery conditions.

All Black- 83, 87, 02 All WS6 T/As
I wish mine DIDN'T have it.. REALLY fricken annoying.. I grew up in WI where we either learned to drive in shitty weather.. or kept calling the tow truck.. so when I hit the gas and the car says "screw you" and pushes back.. it pissses me off.. its ALWAYS the first thing I do after turning on the car! <sigh>
But congrats on the purchase! They are beautiful cars.-Geno

its really not a TC, all it does is shut off the TB and appley brakes, its a cheap TC, not like most traction controls.
