Pewter- '99 Z28 M6
New cam and intake
99 Z28 M6 I want a cam with good idle quality, but can also make power to about 6500 rpm. I was told to go for the ls6 intake instead of the fast intake also. What do you guys think? Which cam would give me these requirements and should I spend extra bucks on the 90mm Fast setup? I have SLP longtubes and Y-pipe with no cats, and the car already has an airlid and hardened pushrods, oh yeah, and 4.10 gears.

I would go with the LS6 intake. Especially for the money compared to the Fast system. Cam wise That is iffy. I have the comp cam 232/234 dur 595-598 lift on a 112 lsa. It has a lopey idle and makes power to 6400 rpm. Damn good all around cam.

Thanks Big D. I think I will get the same cam you are using and the ls6 intake. I am currently bidding on those same springs you are also using. I am going to use that same setup until I get the supercharger. Is there a cam that would be good for both a supercharger and naturally aspirated ls1's?

ok use my cam from COMP, it just made 414rwp on an 04 gto 6speed with headers and full exhaust, its the same cam thats in my SIG, and comp will sell this custom grind in a package with Springs and lifters and retainers.

my cam will make pawer to about 6,800 i think or right around there.
