just slap in a cam, get rid of the diablo, stall it, and get a dyno tune. stick something like a 224 cam in and you can have some nice power. just make sure you get rid of that piece of crap g80 in your rear end before you start launching.

the g80 is the posi unit in the rear end. the g stands for grenade. you can get hptuners and do it yourself, or get a dyno tune.

I Also Need To Know If Stell Blocks Have Any Liners OR Sleeves Like The Aluminum Block Do....
I Know All Ls-based Engines Have 4.4" Spacing And Sleeves Are Sold The Can Be Bored Out To 4.250"... I Have Never Opened Up An Ls- Engine... I Have A Long Block 5.3l For A Spare Eng. And I Would Like To Work On This One...
You know you are right about the diablo, the frist day I had the turner in stalled I called daiblo and asked if that was all i was going to get out of the tuner...Last edited by 02BURBAN; 07-26-2007 at 07:15 AM.

Why not just put a Maggie blower on it and call it a day? The 5.3 is a good engine (I have one in my wife's 2004 Z71), but I wouldn't build it when getting a 6.0 is easier and probably cheaper.
