No they dont make 490rwhp with a tune and pulley and exhaust, they make 500hp at the crank yes, and around 440-460rwhp. Still impressive numbers, and most with the satge 4 superchargers and full bolt ons make 700rwhp not 900.

Ya know im gonna be real honest. Alot of the LS1 crowd, mostly the Fbodies, do alot of shit talking to the Mustang owners. Alot of them know that an LS1 is a better motor than a 4.6L 2 valve, they thinks its funny as hell when we start bragging because its a pointless powertrip. Trust me, spend 2 months in a Mustang forum and you'll see alot of them could care less about us because of the flaming we do. Personally, crowd for crowd, I would rather be with the "Pussy Ponies" than "The Ego Trip Fbodies".
I'd like to request a moderator close this topic. If not, it just goes to show that the LS1's are the leading assholes in the american muscle rivalry.

that might be true...but we are just KIDS in that regard...compared to the falming a-holes in the Supra world...cause they don't just dislike the Cobra...they also dislike us...and well if anything I would say... why don't we all band together our hate...and just directed towards the real problem... the RICE problem...

I got a friend who owns one... ever since I got my car... we've had the LS1 vs. 2JZ battle... even raced once with our cars in horrible shape... with those cars it all boils down to... how much money are you whilling to spend...and how long of a highway you got... he knows a few of them forum and participates in them... and it's all a "who's got the biggest D*ck" type forum
ofcourse everyone knows that the bigger the turbo the more they are compensating for something... LOL

Supras are dyno queens if thats how you set them up alot of hp no power band but if you set it up right the can do some impressive things. I have a 87 not a 2jz that makes 517rwhp. We acutally jsut broke it so once again me and my friend tony have to replace the rings, but were just gonna go all out this time stroke it to a 3.4liter and forged internals. Cobras are great but if you ever wanna make real power there not the best car, when i say real power i mean 1200+. My girlfriends cousin is up his power from 622rwhp to around 1300-1400. But for street cars that rip almost anything out there they are great. Just a little on the heavy side. You drive a F-body yet you say you would rather run with a mustang crowd. You must look great out there everytime you see a cobra do you go dude sweet car im trying to get one. You must look pathetic. Also i havent ran the supra wit hit makeing that much power but making 367rwhp i ran a 12.6 so i would guess low 11s. Hopefully a 10 second car after winter. I have seen a automatic 2jz with 744rwhp run a 9.8 which is pretty good, and supras arent light and this was a full weight car. My 87 weighs 3800lbs lol.

Minor sentence corrections aside, I originally thought it would be nice to be with the F-Body crowd because I really like the looks of the T/A. But what I've come to find is that assholes like you can belittle someones personal opinion or preference like its 2nd nature. I've found my haven amongst Mustang owners (The original Muscle car by the way, the Muscle car that started Muscle cars) because they respect each others opinions and preferences. Everytime I see a Cobra I give it the once over and after they wave to me I wave back. Thats something I know alot of you are too good to do is recognize a fellow Muscle Car owner, regardless of the brand or model. Whats really pathetic is that you had to try and make me look like a little bitch. Save your breath, your not dulling my mood.

This is how i see it....
Cobra's are fast motherfuckers. Ur not gonna find a lot of ppl who disagree with me (03 04). I know 2 friends with them. One has full bolt on's and a whipple twin screw and made just shy of 620whp. The other has a steigmeier pulley few other things, and made just under 500whp. Now is it fair ford put a s/c on a car to compete with a car that was already out of production?? We all know a 400hp LS1 will beat a 400hp cobra. Its been proven. Say a cobra dynos 380whp, a pulley is gonna get u near or over 400. That's good for 12.0 or high 11's. Now drop an MS3 or FM13 into a WS6 and ull run 11's all day long, plus its all motor making the power. No doubt cobras are cheaper to mod, but like how LS1's have more displacement and HP over gt's, the cobra makes up for my having forged internals and a s/c.
400hp on cobra= pulley, tune
400hp on LS1= Full exhaust and intake set up and a cam. No way ur getting 400 hp on bolt ons only.

Too much bickering is ending this thread, plus the fact it accomplishes nothing anyways.
