is this worth it for the money for an upgrade?

I am pretty sure that is the same set on my firehawk. I will have to check the part numbers to be sure. I can't say that you will notice a difference over stock, because the heads and cam were done at the same time. I do know that the pro magnum rockers are noisy.

bone stock. nothing done at all. looking to throw about 1500 and get some good power. newbie so I am looking for some mods, I can do anything too, I have a 8 second Nova but never messed with this stuff before. Just want this in the 12's with all motor.

Bone stock? Then "no", I would spend the money elsewhere. 12s are a joke for a LS1 F-body. Get some sticky tires and some good driving and you'll be in the running. $1500 will get you a lid, headers/exhaust, SFCs and a nice shifter.
