Impulse Blue- 2004 GTO
I believe that was a totaled goat and then brought over the UTE body and merged the two.

Impulse Blue- 2004 GTO
Its not an import. Know the story before you think you know what's going on.
The guy is making those from a GTO to UTE. He's converted a few. They are totaled goats and he imports the bed and other parts to do the conversion. All one would have to see is the VIN is from a GTO. He's been on LS1GTO and ebay trying to sell them.
The Commodore had many different versions, 4 door, wagon, truck, and coupe.

Yes, It was very difficult for a simpleton such as my self to understand, as a matter a fact I had to read over it several times just to get it right....LOL How could I have ever doubted someone such as yourself with the VAST knowledge that you evidently obtain....LOL I am so glad you put it in such elequent words and so easy to understand....hahaha Next time if you get a chance could you please draw stick figures? That way I don't have to read it soooo many times...yes the avatar is correct.....P.S. I know Im a smart alick....and I'm just messing with you man...take it easy...It's all in good fun I was also told by a mutual friend of our to take it easy....so I will leave it @ that

Firstly I cant understand why Pontiac didn't import them from us originally as a truck option.I would think they would have sold more units than the GTO. Just my opinion.
Secondly I'm sure that this ute builder has done his homework when weighing up the cost of such a conversion.
Option 1/ Import ute bed and other parts from Oz. Intergrate full chassis through wrecked GTO. Graft side panels, reshape roofline from the lower goat to the higher ute, graft in rear screen, electrics etc.
Option 2/ Import dime-a-dozen VX Commodore ute body complete. Swap wrecked goat interior. Change steering, brakes, clutch and other controls to LHD from wrecked goat. Swap hood and front bar. Done...
To be fair, superchargedblackgto has picked it to be a aussie ute with gto trimmings, looking at the roof line I tend to agree. Goat roofs are lower. Although if he has gone to the trouble of raising it and it has as you say, the GTO compliance plates, then I could be wrong...
I usually am...
There are quite a few GTO utes here done as conversions. Piece of cake to do... We can leave the wheel on the correct side...
