who does a 5.7 gto stock A4 VS. 02 z28 with lid cat back due?? are the GTo s that slow.... let me know. casue u cant race my frend till he gets his L's back from the state

A stock A4 GTO 5.7 vs a Stock Z28 A4, normally the Z28 will win by about 3-4/10ths in the 1/4 mile. Most stock Z28's/SS/T/A's run in the 13.6-8 area in the 1/4 mile. Almost all the Stock GTO's 5.7 run 14.0-2's. On the street it will be a little closer, but the Z28 should edge the GTO out since the GTO is heavier. The 6.0 GTO runs simular times as a stock Z28. If the Z28 is a M6 then on the road the Z28 should pull a extra car length over what a A$ Z28 would due to gearing. If the GTO is a M6 then the GTO should be even with a stock Z28 A4. I ran a 13.54 with catback and lid on a 02 Z28 A4 with 2.73 gears(when I added 3.42 gears I went 13.2's on reg basis), so it is closer to what gearing a SS A4 has. I seen GTO's with simular mods running 13.9. But that is drag racing...from a roll it will be a little closer with the weight advantage going to the Z28/SS.
