Yes. A stock LS1 can beat a stock WRX no problem unless the driver screws up. From a dig the WRX will pull on the LS1 because of traction problems but after that it's all LS1. I've beat my fair share of them and I only have a lid, filter and catback.

Yes. Like said above he'll get you off the line maybe even 2-3 car lengths but after that it's just reeling in the prey. I didn't think those STI's were putting down 300hp stock.

It's a driver's race

both cars are capable of low 13s but you have to launch an STI pretty darn hard at high RPM to obtain low 13s.

Most people who drive STI's seem to modify their cars, and are capable of high 12s.

Stock for stock you're safe, assuming equal driving ability, but once modding starts, his numbers jump much faster than yours dollar per dollar
