If you look close, the pewter WS6 appears to have the same thing on its passenger rear quarter panel also.

That is a shot of a road race or HPDE.
Many of us run brake vents but the inlets are in front of the car to force air into the wheel well. Most are positioned in the fog light location in the front facia.
That hole/vent is in the wrong place to be functional for brakes and is shaped like an outlet so it would not be a cooling vent for the driver either

I'm thinking it's tape, as in he taped the # 1 to his car. If you look at the black camaro on the right side you can see somthing white on the back panel where his number probably is. On the pewter t/a you can see what looks like black numbers on the same panel on the left side of it. Usually for any kind of road course or autocross you will tape numbers on your car so they can keep your time. Some that do it more often have magnetic numbers.

After zooming in some on the pic it looks like a white magnet with a black number 1 on it. And after zooming in there are definetly numbers on the camaro and other t/a in the exact same spot. You can see the whole left side of the white t/a and there are no numbers except the black mark(number or vent). In any racing event you put a number on the car on both sides so to me it just seems odd that those other 2 cars have clear numbers and then the white T/A has none, that just does't make sense.
