not any faster with 3600 stall???
Okay finally got a chance to take the ta out after installing my Vig 3600 and shift kit and tranny cooler and I'm no faster than I was before the fastest I ran before my upgrade was a 13.4.. I ran 13.5s twice before I got a 13.4. Then today I just ran it again with new mods and I ran in this order - 13.7 13.4 13.4 13.5. I'm spinning bad. I tried babying the throttle, I cant get it to jump off the line.. I'll just spin get bad times. Also my last run when I slowed down I looked out my back window and saw smoke from the back of my car and I only spun just a little off the line cuz i babied the throttle so I got out and looked and I could see my tires are rubbing when it squats down when I take off.. could that slow me down that much?? Well if anybody knows any reason why I'm not much faster and could give me some tips or something please let me know. Thanks

yeeeaah but i was always hearing people jumping into the 12s with street tires. I was reeeeaally hoping for that or atleast 13.0 13.1 ya know. something faster not the same. Does anyone know anything about the yokohama avs es 100 tires 275s do they get good traction cuz I havent had good traction since I've had them.

Well bro, I dont think you should of titled it "Not any faster with stall", should of titled it "need to hook", spinning aint winning, i dont hear to many people into the 12's with streets, most anyone has something stickier. Dont know much about those tires either, my buds around here are running Mickey Thompson E.T. drag radials, through trial and error, they all seem to agre on them, I am going to make that my next purchase.

Your ET is trashed the second you wheelspin. If you want to run street tyres, go eeeaasssyyy on the gas off the line next time. Feather it in.
Why would you waste money on new street tyres when ET Streets are cheaper and a world of difference?

As far as a stronger rear end, that may not be necassary right now. What kind of power are you putting out? I believe we who run the auto's will have a little longer axle life, maybe until you get a hard hitting shift kit. Did you get subframe connectors yet? What condition is your axle in now, abused, high mileage, you know if its a torsen or something else?

Get some better tires, you won't run any better without them.

Yep that should do it.., remember, take some pressure out of the dr's at the track too, when you were runnin street tires, did yo go around the water and do a burnout? Just curious. Also I ended buying BF goodrich drag radials, not M.T.'s..little cheaper and they have some more tire life..

GEARS GEARS GEARS. DR and some gears like 4.10 that would put you in the 12s for sure.

NOBODY TOLD HIM HE NEEDS AN ADJUSTABLE TORQUE ARM? You need lower control arms. Non adjustable are fine unless you or somebody else lower your car. Get you an adjustable torque arm! If you get one with the poly bushings you WILL pickup rearend, tire and road noise so don't freak out when that happens. If you tires are rubbing on the inner fender wells take the tires off and get you a 5# hammer and let er rip. I just had to beat mine into submission after finding out that BFG DRs (315/35/17s) have a wider tread than Nitto 555rs (315/35/17s) go figure that one out. But with just an Adj. Torque Arm/nonadj lower control arms and a set of DRs set the right pressure I have no trouble running 1.67 60 ft times and you shoudn't either!
